Therapies Team Update

September 2020

My first year as Head of Therapies was busy, exciting – and a little different, as it has been for everyone! I am very proud to lead the team of SaLT’s and OT’s who achieve so much for our learners and families across Early Years, Park House, Tram House and the Post-19 Hubs. We continued to provide support to families and staff throughout lockdown, I really hope you found this useful.

I am pleased to introduce three new Therapists to our team this year and we now have a full team of permanent therapists across BeyondAutism!

L-R Clockwise: Georgia Sutherland (SaLT), Laura Maasland (SaLT), Taylor Christensen (OT), Tom Bailey (Head of Therapies)*, Shauna Walsh (OT), Jodie Whitley (SaLT), Isabel Booth (OT). *Group photo taken pre-Covid.

We have welcomed Georgia (SaLT) and Taylor (OT) as permanent members of the team. Both have been working with us as locums. We are also joined by Isabel (OT) who previously worked as a Tutor at Park House and brings experience of working as an OT in another ABA school.

We have extended the team with Jodie (SaLT) and Shauna (OT) who are both newly qualified practitioners. It is really exciting to have them join us with current theoretical knowledge and we look forward to them building their practical experience.

The Therapies Team are based across the following sites:
